iPhone 6 News And Performances

 iPhone 6 News And Performances

Apple Devices is at the forefront of most people’s minds with the iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s.  It almost seems as if the company comes out with a new and improved Smartphone every couple of months.  To some, this might not be a wise decision because it could potentially tarnish the reputation of the company but so far it’s played off very well for Apple.

There’s a new buzz in the mobile world and it’s all about Apple once again.  This time it’s about their rumored iPhone 6 which is believed to be superior to all of the company’s previous products.  Want to know why?  Let’s see how it measures up to later models of iPhones.

What’s Different About the New iPhone 6
With rumors flying around about what might be featured on the new iPhone 6, one thing is certain.  If Apple does offer this phone, it’s going to be awesome.  Enough hints have circulating around the Internet to tantalize iPhone 5 users.  With contracts expiring next year, the iPhone 6 couldn’t come at a better time.  Expected to debut around June, the smartphones could hit the market as early as May.

Some of the design changes and features that would be different about the iPhone 6 would be:

•    Thinner – While it’s not certain that this will be the case, the iPhone 6 is most expected to be thinner.  Apple has been continually working on their phones to make them sleeker and more stylish than their very first model.  Most consumers are expecting Apple to produce a sleek iPhone 6 with the buttons on the side filed down a bit so they don’t stick out very far.

•    Display – The iPhone 5 was the first iPhone to have a 4-inch display then the 5S followed with the same size screen.  The big change could be in the iPhone 6 as it’s been told that Apple is looking at using a screen that is anywhere from 4.5 inches up to 5 inches.  This is significant because as of right now, all iPhones are dwarfed by most of their counterparts which are Android phones.  This could change all of that without affecting the overall size of the iPhone itself.

•    New iOS – As with any Apple product, the company prides itself in using the latest and best operating system they can design.  The iPhone 5, 5c, and 5s all came with iOS7 and this system really has been an improvement over the other iOS that Apple has used in the past.  While the trend is to continue to promote growth, it would be natural to assume that Apple wouldn’t just use iOS7 for their new phone.  Instead the iPhone 6 would get a completely new operating system and it would be natural to assume it is iOS8.  While all the features of this are still vague, it’s coming from Apple so chances are likely that it’s going to be incredible.

•    Camera – It’s common to see Apple improve its camera with nearly every single iPhone when it comes out, so naturally it can be assumed that with the iPhone 6 a new camera will be a given. It’s the size of the camera that is in speculation and right now the iPhone 5, 5c and 5s all have a 8MP camera, and while this has been a standard for many smartphones, it would be nice to see Apple look at using say a 13MP camera.  It has also been rumored that they are looking at Lytro-like capabilities for the camera of the iPhone 6.  This type of camera allows users to capture an image and then dynamically select a focal point later.  It uses something called plenoptic technology which means photography can be far more “fire and forget.”  Steve Jobs worked with Lytro’s founder to discuss a partnership, and a patent was filed right before Jobs’ death.  So the possibility of a Lytro –like camera is very possible with the new iPhone 6.

•    Glass – We all know that if a phone is dropped, the best scenario is we get away with murder and the screen doesn’t break.  The most typical scenario is that the screen breaks when dropped or mishandled.  This, however, could completely change with the iPhone 6.  Apple has been working with Sapphire Glass screen technology and it is already in use on the camera lens, and the Touch ID home button.  Right now most mobile devices use Gorilla Glass and Apple is looking to use Sapphire Glass for the entire display area.  It’s 2.5 times stronger than Gorilla Glass and could also lead to less chances of the display glass or back area breaking.  This has been a major problem for most people and so it would be a very welcome change from what Apple has done in the past with previous iPhones.  This would be a major feature and improvement.
•    Curved Display – This one is straight from the rumor mill but Apple has indeed moved forward with getting a patent for this ability.  Some have speculated that this could be added to the iPhone 6.  These rumors came about when a source gave out information saying that Apple was working on not one but two different curved handsets with larger screens.  However, there is no way to say that they will use this patent for anything regarding their products or if it would even make it to the iPhone 6.
It Looks Promising
The future for Apple and their iProducts is bright and with the speculations on what the iPhone 6 will have will continue until they let the public know.  Make no mistake, even the latest model of iPhone needs improvement.  As we all know, nothing Apple has worked on has ever been made poorly so when the iPhone 6 does come out, it’s sure to be as fun to use and better than anything Apple has made in the past.  Look for the iPhone 6 to debut mid-to-late 2014.
